2014Wteam small

Round 3 saw the womens team return to our home ground after a week off due to having the bye. Our opponents, Korumburra, were a vastly depleted side compared to the team we defeated in last months Korumburra Cup.

A first half blitz saw Hayley come to terms with senior football and provide tremendous drive down the right wing. Amanda benefited from the supply and consistently put the ball passed the fill in Korumburra keeper. Jo intercepted a loose clearance, took on the defence and finished by dribbling passed the keeper into the goal. It was then Danelles turn to be the provider for Hayley to score her first senior goal. With the Hines sisters turning defence into attack time and time again the half time score was Trafalgar 6 : 0 with Amanda having 4 goals.

The second half took its toll on the Korumburra girls with injury and illness further reducing them . Despite this, although Traf manufactured many opportunities, the final score was a 7 : 0 win. Amanda added 1 goal to her total to finish with 5 goals for the afternoon. Jaiden hit the cross bar and many other chances could not be converted. Next week sees the team on the road for the first time against South Coast Stars.
