The Trafalgar Victory FC Senior Women’s team have defeated top of the table Traralgon City and are now only 1 point away from top spot on the ladder. The TVFC Women have ticked a major “to do” off their 2018 list, by taking the points from City. The win gives the Trafalgar girls a huge boost of confidence and self-belief.
In recent years, both Traralgon City and Fortuna have proven difficult to beat and The Victory ladies have consistently fallen short. However, in season 2018 the Trafalgar team has pushed Fortuna all the way, suffering a 1-0 defeat and now climbed the mountain to knock off the previously undefeated Traralgon City.
Trafalgar have now played the top teams over the past month and should, on paper, consolidate their credentials as league contenders in the weeks that follow. However, the girls know only too well that the difference between a good and bad performance is only a slight drop off in intensity. The women’s competition is a very competitive one and it is very easy to be taken down on any given weekend. Coach Wyatt would most certainly have explained this to his chargers.
All at TVFC are backing our girls in season 2018. The TVFC Senior Women play a fast and skilful brand of football and they are beginning to string together the results they have been promising for some time now. They have a balance of experience and youth and are always up for the challenge. Go the Victory!
