Greeted with the same fine weather, most welcome in Sale which is often much colder this time of year, TVFC’s under 6 squad consisting of Kade, Xavier, Ivy and Grace combined well to play a fantastic game.
TVFC scored several times in the first half, showcasing some excellent teamwork in attack. Paticulalry impressive was the dribbling and movement of the ball down the field which resulted in goals. Kade scored three goals to half time (and narrowly missed a sizzling shot from an acute angle) while Ivy and Grace also chimed in with contributions to the score board. Xavier was very close to having his name recorded on the score sheet, and palyed an excellent game.
At the other end of the park, solid defence by all players allowed TVFC to thwart a number of attacks from NYUSC. Some lovely clearing balls from defence were a highlight by all players
In the second half TVFC enjoyed the services of “loan player” Dylan from NYUSC. Continuing on where they left off in the first half, TVFC (and Dylan) continued to attack and managed to put a number of shots into the back of the net.
From the coaches point of view it was incredibly pleasing to see the development of the mini roos. The kids clearly enjoyed themselves and the progression in their skills and team work was really exciting to see. Well done guys!
This weeks awards went to Ivy (Jump and Climb) and Grace (B.K’s). Both girls played an excellent game and should be very proud of their efforts.
Finally, thanks to NYUSC and coach Steve who managed a playing group of 10 by substituting players regularly against of our four player line up. Thanks also to Dylan who was willing to pull on a TVFC strip to allow his regular team mates to enjoy more time on the park.
