With mid-week training cancelled due to the cold wet and windy weather, we were yet again lucky with some good conditions for the trip to Newborough. The under 8s again had a strong turn out and started the game positively with a couple of quick goals, Olympians slowly got into the game and it became a very even contest with end to end football. Felicity was again doing a great job in goals with the occasional handstand to entertain the crowd. The A Team of, Arlo and Anton were doing a good job in defense with Tyler working up and down the pitch tirelessly. Olympians had a great little player who was starting to take control in the middle. Cohen, Harvey and Rylee were doing lots of running but TVFC were not playing their usual passing game, maybe a consequence of no training during the week.
Half time came and TVFC were still on top. Onyx took the gloves for the second half and Liam, Jack and Stella were getting involved with some good football. It was end to end football and Olympians began to get on top and scores were even going into the last few minutes of the game, an late goal for TVFC tied things up, the end result being a draw. It was good for the Under 8s to have a more even contest with the last games being a bit one sided. Another good team effort from the TVFC under 8s.
