This weeks fixture at Fortuna provided another opportunity for TVFC’s Under 6 squad to test themselves, matching up against roosters from Traralgon City again.
TVFC started strongly with John playing strongly from midfield. His forays forward provided some great opportunities with only some stoic defence by City denying him a number of goals. At the other end of the park, Lillian continues to flourish, with clearing kicks from defence a highlight of her play. Ivy, Kade and Piper we’re all playing well and created a number of opportunities. Super subs Grace and Xavier provided great support and at half time TVFC had found the back of the net twice.
In the second half, after re-charging with oranges – TVFC came out strongly. Excellent play from all players provided Grace, Kade, John and Ivy with more attacking chances. Goal line defence from City the only thing preventing regular scores. In the end, TVFC found the back of the net 5 times.
Well done to a very exciting group of young players. Most of all, it is incredibly pleasing to see the growth in confidence and camaraderie in the group.
