The under 10’s played against Traralgon City at home after coming off their first win of the season the previous week against one of Traralgon City’s other under 10 teams.

Jett was missing having broken his wrist in last weeks game and Eli was still battling illness however Mackenzie and Riley helped out from the under 12’s given they are still eligible to play at under 10 level and their guidance definitely helped our younger players.

Victory started well and created multiple opportunities in the early stages. Once again the focus was largely on the kids learning to stay in position and this is improving week on week as they are visibly thinking about were they need to be to best help the team.

Our defence of Kai, Kye and Riley were kept quite as the ball stayed in the attacking third of the field. Ryan and Sully caused havoc on the wings with their dribbling throughout the half. Kaden put a few goals on the board and the Victory went into the break a few goals to the good.

The instruction at half time was to ensure we get our head up and look for a passing option where possible. There were plenty of positives in the second half as we managed to score a few more goals however the focus clearly in weeks to come will be to ensure we look for players in better positions as the focus became firmly on the individual “solo” goal rather than the team goal.

Kaden added to his tally while Sully, Mitch, Mackenzie and Riley got amongst the goals also.

This weeks awards went to Mackenzie, Jye and Jaxon who all played well.
