After a school holiday break the under 10s returned to the pitch to play against Monash. Having not played against Monash yet this season due to being in different hubs the Traf team didn’t know what to expect. However the focus was on our own play and in particular our passing. Before the game we spoke about seeing how many passes we could put together with the aim to get passages of play with more than 5 passes in a row without the opposition touching the ball and ultimately creating scoring chances.

In the first minute the kids exceeded the aim easily by putting together an 11 pass move which resulted in Jett being unlucky not to put Traf 1 up. Was it time to set a new target already? Kaiden, Eli, Wesley and Jai (goalkeeper) defended well throughout the first half which was full of passing moves and resulted in a few goals before going into the break.

The boys created plenty of chances in the second half with Eli moving forward to join Jaxon and Ryan O in midfield. As a result Traf managed to score a few more but more importantly looked for a passing option when possible which was grea

t to see.

Traf finished 6-2 winners with goals to Sully (3) Mitch (2) and one to Ryan D in what was a great team effort coming off a break.
