The recipients of the Luke Barker Memorial Club Person Award and the Angelo Carpinteri Junior Club Person Award were announced at the recently held Senior Presentation.
Both awards recognise the significant contributions made our dedicated volunteers. The finalist for the Luke Barker Memorial Club Person Award were; Michael Byrne, Tanya Makins and Katrina Alison. Whilst in the Angelo Carpinteri Junior Club Person Award the finalists were; Chloe Alison and Allyssa Giles.
Michael Byrne was announced the 2018 Senior Club Person of the Year. Michael has invested considerable time and effort to secure sponsorships, improve facilities, secure grants and coach the Under 6 MiniRoos. He has a “can do attitude” and is indeed the man to get the job done. Michael is also a TVFC committee member and a leader within the Men’s Reserves team. Congratulations Michael.
Chloe Alison was announced the 2018 Junior Club Person of the Year, very narrowly beating Allyssa for the title. Chloe is a younger member of the TVFC Senior Women’s Team and another dedicated volunteer. Despite playing minimal game time this season, Chloe has spent many hours assisting in the canteen at both junior and senior game days. She works very hard behind the scenes to ensure a smooth game day experience for players both home and away. Congratulations to Chloe.
Whilst Allyssa didn’t win the 2018 TVFC title, her contributions towards MiniRoos Gala days and assistance at numerous soccer clinics was very much appreciated and recognised by all at the club. It was therefore great that Allyssa was recognised by the club sge plays for, Gippsland FC, as their 2018 Club Person of the Year. Congratulations to Allyssa.
