Riding high on confidence from a come from behind, last gasp win against Churchill, the TVFC men looked to make it back to back when they hosted Tyers. Having come away with a tough 3-2 win in the previous encounter, the additions of Nate Paredes, Chris Gratton and Lloyd King made Trafalgar a dangerous opposition for this installment.

TVFC also welcomed back captain Connor Wyatt to the fold to bolster the defence, he in fact opened the account. A mistimed tackle that brought down TVFC leading goal scorer Joshua Paredes about the half way mark lead to a lofted freekick, Connor ascended to meet the ball with courage and head truly beyond the outstretched goal keeper.

TVFC battled to maintain control of the game with Tyers wrestling momentum through the middle of the ground. TVFC however managed to find a buffer through Dylan Wyatt, striking a well-placed shot from the top of the 18yd box into the bottom left hand corner.

Taking a 2-0 lead into the break team coach Eamon O’Hare re-established the game plan and the team took to the second half with purpose. Trafalgar wide backs Alec Edmondson and Cohan Bayles found their groove, launching attack after attack with precision passing down the line, the midfield battle was wrestled into submission with Alec Edmondson, Lloyd King and Rudy Garcia applying constant pressure and quality service to the attacking trio.

The resulting 45 minutes saw Trafalgar dominate the play with Anthony Sossa, Nate and Joshua Paredes proving too much for the Tyers defence. Joshua found the net 3 times for a second half hattrick, brother Nate hit the mark twice whilst Anthony continued to create headaches split the Tyers backline. A few commanding efforts from TVFC goal keeper Lachlan Wyatt helped the side run out comfortable 7-0 winners.
