Two great games for Under 6’s with a chilly minus 2 degree 9am start this weekend. Tom, Fenn, Reid and Zoe had a lovely even match against the Traralgon City Girls team. Tom was strong in attack and Reid and Fenn both delivered some powerful kicks to keep the ball away from goals as much as possible. Zoe is learning her way around the soccer field and got a few touches of the ball this match which is a big step in the right direction.
On our other field, Kade, Xavier, Jaiden and Archer worked hard all game, never giving up despite some freezing fingers. Archer took out the Jump’n’Climb prize this week for his determination and effort on the field all game.
With a lot of players away sick or on holidays both teams had no subs and all the kids did well to last the distance. No amount of running races, star jumps or one on ones with the parents could keep us warm this weekend but we were still smiling at the end of the game.
