Under 13 Girls

This week the Under 13 girls team played Pegasus in Morwell. The game started at a furious pace with players not able to find a  lot of space or time on the ball. The Trafalgar girls were on top in terms of possession but could not string enough passes together to make any genuine attempts at scoring. Haylea broke the deadlock with a nice run and shot on goal. The game then opened up and the Trafalgar girls started to play the style of game we have been working on at training. Passes started to connect and the ball was moved down the field in a much more controlled manner. Haylea scored again and then Allyssa fired in another to put us further on top. The Pegasus girls continued to press and a nice move saw them on the scoreboard. At half time the Trafalgar team led 3:1.

The team was instructed to continue playing the same way after the break and they followed the instructions brilliantly. Haylea showed her improved ball control skills and set up numerous chances for her team mates to have shots on goal.  Chloe was a major benefactor and scored a wonderful lofted goal and had other shots blocked at the last second. Maddy continued her great season up front with 3 goals for the game and the midfield of Paris, Ivy, Skye, Nat and Letitia continues to improve and provide great drive into attack. The final score saw Trafalgar have a 7:2 victory after a very entertaining game. It is wonderful to see that the team is still continuing to improve weekly and are putting the skills learnt at training into practice on Saturdays.
