At last night’s GSL AGM the structure for the 2015 competition was decided upon. The club delegates discussed and presented points, both for and against, for numerous proposed models before settling on the following model.
In season 2015 clubs wishing to play in the GSL Central division will be required to enter teams in both the Senior Men’s and Men’s Reserves competition. In addition, cubs will also need to field teams in the Senior Women’s and/or Men’s Second Division. Also, the GSL has introduced an Under 18 team to the junior competition, replacing the previous Youth competition.
The GSL Board acknowledged TVFC’s request to return to the GSL Central Division and have formed a working party to investigate fixturing alternatives to allow for a senior/reserves 14 team draw. The GSL Board will meet with TVFC within the next week to discuss conditions of entry to the central league.
The meeting has effectively paved the way for TVFC to finally enter Senior Men’s and Men’s Reserves in the GSL Central Division. Season 2015 looks likely to be a most historical one for Trafalgar Victory FC and all players and supporters are strongly encouraged to get behind their club and make 2015 a great success with long term benefits for both current and future players.
