Turbo Reel Irrigation – “The leaders in irrigation and pumping solutions”, are the latest local business to back Trafalgar Victory FC. Turbo Reel Irrigation’s Adrian Romano, who has himself played for Trafalgar Victory FC, advised the club of their intent to take up sponsorship earlier in the season.
As part of their three year sponsorship package, Turbo Reel Irrigation today had their highway facing sponsorship sign mounted on the soccer grounds perimeter fence. The signage looks superb in front of the recently constructed TVFC pavilion.

Trafalgar Victory has received a conditional certificate of occupancy from Watershed Building Consultants. The club was required to install fire extinguishers and a concrete pad at the end of the disabled ramp in order for the building to meet all legal requirements.
In response, two fire extinguishers were today installed by the Trafalgar CFA, one in the main general purpose room and one in the first aid room. On Monday morning concrete will be delivered to complete the final building requirement.
The finished product is excellent and the crew from Johns Lyng Regional Builders have indeed gone the extra mile to ensure a quality finish. Numerous plasterers, painters, builders, plumbers and electricians have worked weekends to ensure this project was delivered in a timely manner.
With only a handful of small finishing touches to be added next week, the project is now as good as finished. Victorian government officials will be visiting the site over the next week to provide their tick of approval. Once this funding body is satisfied, all that is left to do is to enjoy the official opening and move into our new pavilion.
The club is extremely grateful for the support, professionalism and dedication displayed by the numerous tradesmen who have contributed towards this project. Many of whom had to work in extremely challenging conditions and appalling weather. We look forward to raising a glass with the tradesmen at the pavilions official opening.
TVFC is also extremely grateful to our club secretary, Ms Shirley Guthrie, who has also undertaken the demanding role of project manager. Her numerous hours, days, weeks and months of “behind the scenes” work has seen by few, but will be for many years enjoyed by all. The club is indeed indebted to Shirley for her commitment and dedication towards this project. TVFC thanks Shirley sincerely for her more than generous contribution.
Trafalgar Victory FC recently received a Country Action Grant to fund the development of a Strategic Plan. The club is hoping to consult broadly to obtain important feedback about how the club is travelling and in which areas they should focus their energy on for coming years. You can get involved by completing an online survey by going to https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/TrafFCSP or you can obtain a hard copy of the survey directly from the Club. The survey will close on Friday July 25th, 2014.
The Strategic Plan will be developed over the coming months and will be presented to club members as a draft for their input and feedback. These sorts of processes help clubs to apply for grants, develop facilities and better grow the club in line with a clear, strong vision in mind.
To spearhead the development of the Strategic Plan, Trafalgar Victory FC have engaged the Hands On Community Solutions team, lead by Michelle Harris, who has over 15 years’ experience. Michelle (0458 145 596 or email@example.com), along with Trafalgar Victory’s Club President, Dylan Wyatt (0400 505 320) will be available for more information.
The end of month deadline is fast approaching for the TVFC pavilion project and the final product is coming together nicely. In the past week alone the external doors have been fitted, industrial quality vinyl flooring has been laid, roof drainage installed, the external decking has been completed, two roller shutters installed for the canteen and the shower installed for the referees room. Currently the access ramp is being constructed, leaving only the canteen fit out, final plumbing installations and final external shed fittings to be completed.
The club is delighted with the quality workmanship provided by the Johns Lyng building team and associated contractors. All have delivered their component of the project in a timely and professional manner. Once officially open, all at the club will gain a great deal of satisfaction and pride in the final product.
The 2014 TVFC Trivia Night has been run and won. Whilst the number of participants was down slightly from past years, the entertainment and energy at the event was at an all-time high. The evening was superbly organised by Kara Kimberley and hosted by local radio identity, 3GG’s Andrew Deaks.
Deaks entertained the audience from the first minute till the final question and provided a variety of questions ensuring that all present could make a contribution. The event was held at the Trafalgar Bowls Club and raised valuable funds for the soccer club.
The TVFC Committee wishes to thank those who attended, Andrew Deaks for his professionalism, the Trafalgar Bowls Club, the numerous sponsors who provided prizes and importantly Kara who made the evening possible. It is hoped that this well ran event will grow from strength to strength in years to come.
The TVFC pavilion project is nearing completion and is currently being painted. All internal walls and plastering have been completed and painters are currently working throughout the weekend to ensure the project is completed by the end of June deadline. Continue reading
Baw Baw Shire has delivered on their promise to provide an emergency access road to the Trafalgar Victory grounds. The club has been in conversation with BBSC over many months now regarding the need for such access. It was an obvious need last season when an ambulance was called to the ground and the vehicle could only travel half was to the club rooms.
Following a meeting with representatives from Baw Baw Shire and the Trafalgar Recreation Precinct Committee of Management, the shire committed to the recently constructed road. The access road not only provides access to the grounds for emergency services but also for the canteen managers at the club and any other deliveries being made.
Trafalgar Victory appreciates the assistance provided by Baw Baw Shire and now hopes to further discuss permanent parking at the grounds in the near future

The TVFC pavilion is moving along nicely as the project nears its last month of construction. With the shed all but completed, the focus has turned upon the internal fit out of the building. Johns Lyng Regional Builders have overseen the construction of the internal framing, which is now almost complete. The various rooms are now taking shape and the proportions of the rooms are now obvious for all to see.
Safety 1st Electrical are the electrician who will be wiring up the pavilion and owner and long term TVFC supporter, Amador Garcia, will be overseeing the electrical component of the project. Amador has once again offered his services to the club at very competitive rates. For all your electrical needs be sure to consider Safety 1st Electrical.
Behind the scenes the kitchen units have been selected and colours and materials chosen. The industrial strength flooring has also been selected and will be soon available for installation when the remainder of the construction is complete.
A polite reminder to all TVFC members and supporters that you too can contribute to the building project if you would like to make a financial donation the Building Fund. Those wishing to make a donation please contact our club treasurer Mrs Peta Mathews on 0422 122 278. Johns Lyng Regional Builders have commenced the internal fit out stage of the pavilion project. Following the recent laying of the masonite flooring by club volunteers, the local building group have commenced the construction and erection of the internal walls.
In the weeks to come the electrical and plumbing will commence, as will the plastering and kitchen construction. The project is following a rather tight timeline, with the entire completion and sign off required by the end of June.
All at the club are looking forward to the finished product and eagerly await the opening of the pavilion. Trafalgar Victory will continue to keep its members up to date with project developments, via the club’s website.
