TVFC Member’s Meeting – Thur 12th March @5pm

TVFC members are invited, and indeed encouraged, to attend an important club meeting to discuss the recently announced move to the Gippsland Soccer League, event details are as follows:

  • TVFC Meeting
  • Venue: TVFC Clubrooms
  • Start: 5pm sharp
  • Finish: 5:30 – 6:pm

It is essential that our members fully appreciate the reasoning behind this decision, the limited options available to us and how we plan to move forward.  It is equally important that our members attend and have an opportunity to raise and discuss their concerns regarding the move to the GSL. With the LVSL junior league start to the season being delayed and that of the GSL still weeks away, it is an opportune time for the club committee and its members to have an open and honest conversation. For further details, please refer to the letter that was emailed to all members via mailchimp (dated Sun 8th March – please check your inboxes).

We hope to see many families at this important meeting. The club is looking forward to your attendance, an open mind and a solution focused conversation.

TVFC Seeks Gippsland Soccer League Affiliation for 2020

Dear TVFC Players, Parents & Members,

We write to inform you that as of this morning, Trafalgar Victory FC has written to seek affiliation with Gippsland Soccer League and notified its current body, the Latrobe Valley Soccer League of its intention to withdraw from all LVSL competitions.

Over the past 8 years, TVFC has experienced considerable growth in areas on and off the pitch upon relocating to our current facility at Waterloo Road, in more recent times we have been investing considerable time and energy into procuring improved infrastructure and facilities that will better support our club.

The decision to change leagues has been one of careful consideration, and one that we feel as a committee will best support the sustained growth of TVFC. We have been embedded in the LVSL since its inception, with club delegates holding executive board roles and supporting the development and growth of the leagues administration for some years. However, we feel that our best future endeavours now lie within the Gippsland Soccer League.

Trafalgar and surrounds are growing communities, competing with significantly larger clubs in the main townships of Moe, Morwell and Traralgon and the clubs current status of being without appropriate facilities has made it increasingly challenging to maintain a healthy player base across all age groups which we must make a priority.

The Gippsland Soccer League is a fast growing, friendly, family based competition with values aligned perfectly to that of TVFC. We have been involved in the GSL in previous seasons with considerable success and we are excited and energised to see our junior and senior teams compete together on the same competition day and increase whole club involvement.

The TVFC Committee will continue to work towards recognising an established, built for purpose changing facility that provides appropriate solutions to our male and female players across all ages, whilst being able to manage this alongside building our player base in a growing, exciting competition.

TVFC would like to thank the LVSL for its support and understanding of our decision, with recognition that the LVSL season commences in one short week.

There will be more information to follow shortly regarding the clubs next steps seeking affiliation with the GSL, competition information and everything else you need to know.

Kind Regards

TVFC Committee

2019 TVFC Christmas Fundraiser

Thank you to the numerous TVFC members who gave up their time over the past few weeks to :

  1. Take Christmas tree orders
  2. Deliver Christmas trees around the local area
  3. Sell raffle tickets

Thanks to your efforts the club was able to raise in excess of $2200.00 via this out of season annual fundraising program. The level of support this year was unprecedented and demonstrates a willingness, particularly from senior players, to back their club and to make a contribution. Every dollar raised will benefit members of all ages across the club.

Trafalgar Victory FC would also like to thank the many local people who ordered a Christmas tree or bought a raffle ticket from a member of our club over the past three weeks. Without your support, this fundraising program could not occur. A particular thanks to lour “long term” clients who have supported this initiative over many years now.

The club would also like to thank IGA Trafalgar and the Yarragon Hotel for their ongoing support of this annual fundraiser over many years now. Thanks also to Rick’s Christmas Trees and Harvey Norman Electrical, Warragul for their support of our program.

Petamarie also managed player registration and the dreaded money collection, that at the time came with the role. It was lovely for the club to recongnise the valuable contribution made by Petamarie over the many years at the club.
