The Under 8s were again excited about there Round 7 Game against NYUSC, it was a cold morning and there was plenty of running around in the pre match warm up to keep the cold away, the energy was kept up once the game started.  Even though Trafalgur had plenty of the ball and were dominating possession, we could not convert that into goals.  We kept up the hard work and it was great to see some great team work from Trafalgur, eventually the NYUSC defense could no longer cope with the constant pressure and we scored a couple of quick goals through Cohen and Rylee. Arlo, Stella and Jack were doing a fantastic job in defense, with Harvey, Rylee and Tyler doing their usual energetic midfield roles. There were lots of great dribbling and passing which is improving with each game. Onyx and Cohen were causing all sorts of problems up front and we went into half time 3 goals up with none conceded.

Felicity was well rugged up in goals with at least four layers and a large jacket, this was restricting her movement but made a large obstacle for the Traralgon attackers to get past.

The second half was more of the same and the Trafalgar under 8s were full of confidence and were having lots of fun, with eight on the field and one sub, everybody was getting a good run, it was all one-way traffic with the final score being Trafalgar 8 NYUSC getting a consolation goal. A great game from all, well done everyone. A special mention to Cohen who showed some great sportsmanship helping the NYUSC goalkeeper who took a direct hit to the head from the ball, a great example of how to play the game. With the long weekend next, it will be a good opportunity for the team to recharge their batteries and be raring to go for the next game.
