Trafalgar Victory FC held its Junior Presentation Day on Saturday the 13th September at its clubroom. The day was yet another spring beauty at all in attendance fully enjoyed the afternoon’s program.
All “MiniRoos” and Junior teams were presented to the crowd and each player received a team banner containing a list of all player’s names and official team picture. Coaches and team managers were thanked and team pictures taken.
There were strong numbers present for the presentation day and the usage of the new clubrooms was a hit with all present. In addition to the presentation of players, TVFC also announced this year’s “Junior Club Person”. This year’s nominees were Caitlyn Mathews, Drew Murphy, Haylee Murphy and Dean Young. All four nominees would have been worthy winners. However, it was Drew Murphy who was announced as this year’s recipient.
At the end of the formal proceedings, an afternoon tea was shared, and then many of the TVFC youngsters took to the pitch to play against a collection of enthusiastic parents and a few “ring ins” (ie. TVFC senior players Dylan Wyatt and Matthew Beasley). The match proved a highlight for many of the juniors and was enjoyed by all.
Another excellent year of junior football has been played at Trafalgar and once again the club has enjoyed the fine combination of talent and well behaved junior participants. As a coach myself, I can only state that it is a pleasure to train and instruct such a great group of young players.
The TVFC Committee wish all this year’s MiniRoos and junior participants (and parents) a well-earned rest over the off season. We sincerely hope to see you all back at the club come the start of next season.
