Trafalgar Victory FC Senior Women’s coach Tony Wyatt has been awarded the Latrobe Valley Soccer League’s inaugural “Women’s Coach of the Year” for season 2018. The announcement was made at the LVSL presentation evening on Friday the 19th of October at the Australian Italian Club.

Tony has been a dedicated servant of the game for many years at Trafalgar Victory and at Warragul Soccer Club before that.  He invests a great deal of time and energy into the development of his players and team as a whole.  Tony doesn’t just care about players in a soccer capacity, but is there as a support and life mentor to those under his care.

The TVFC senior women’s team has developed significantly during his time at the club.  The team plays a possession based game that is built upon a skill based and team oriented game plan.  The development of the TVFC ladies over the past five season is, put quite simply, amazing. The team is now recognised as one of the contenders in the league and has gained considerable respect from others clubs.

Tony is very much appreciated and valued by his team and club. However, respect and admiration for him as a person and coach is evident outside of the bounds of TVFC.  It is a great honour that this award was voted upon by his fellow coaches from across the league. There can be no higher accolade than to be recognised by one’s peers.

Trafalgar Victory FC is fortunate to have such great senior coaches.  This recent award follows the recognition of TVFC Senior Men’s Coach, Eamon O’Hare, who last season won the 2017 LVSL Coach of the Year for the senior men’s division.

All at Trafalgar Victory congratulate Tony upon this achievement and wish him the very best for the seasons ahead.
